Smart Bible Plan Privacy Policy

Overview

Smart Bible Plan is designed with your privacy in mind. The app works fully offline by default. All your reading progress, highlights, bookmarks, notes, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Cloud sync is entirely optional.

Data We Collect

When you use the app without an account (guest mode), we collect no personal data whatsoever. If you choose to sign in with Google, Apple, or email, we store your email address and display name solely for authentication and cloud sync purposes.

Data Storage

All reading data, including your reading plan, progress, highlights, bookmarks, notes, and streaks, is stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage. If you enable cloud sync, this data is also stored in Firebase Firestore under your authenticated user account.

Third-Party Services

Smart Bible Plan uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication: for sign-in with Google, Apple, or email (optional)
• Firebase Firestore: for cloud sync of reading data (optional)
• Firebase Crashlytics: for anonymous crash reporting to improve app stability
• Firebase Analytics: for anonymous usage analytics to understand how the app is used
• bolls.life API: for fetching Bible text (public domain translations)

We do not use any advertising SDKs or sell your data to third parties.

Children's Privacy

Smart Bible Plan does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app can be used in guest mode without any data collection.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings > Delete Account within the app. Local data is removed when you uninstall the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
